Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about growing up living in "a the white bubble." She also explains the impact that this realization has had on the parenting style of her adopted children that are multiracial. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane", revealed to an interviewer that it didn't matter what color her skin was to her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister, she noticed the differences in how people treated her and her. If I inquired of Meg how she was treated when in public, in the presence of or without parents, the treatment was very completely different. Meg said, 'Oh Sure, I've witnessed it all!' Heigl told Parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." Heigl admitted she became angry and felt that she needed to channel her anger on helping her adoptee daughters. Heigl, who has been engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years, have a son, Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. They adopted their daughter Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old who is Black, in 2012.
